Full-Arch Restoration (All-On-4)

Patients with multiple missing or damaged teeth in the same arch can restore their smile and preserve their oral health and function with a full-arch restoration.

Hear From Full-Arch Restoration Patients Like You

In the past, patients who suffered from major tooth loss typically had very few options for tooth replacement. Most patients chose traditional (removable) dentures, but were often unhappy with the fit and how often they slipped or fell out. Full-arch restoration is a revolutionary procedure offered at our practice that can completely restore your smile and oral function with dental implants and a permanent denture. A full-arch restoration is a permanent replacement solution with many benefits.

Patients who receive a full-arch restoration experience all the same benefits as those who receive dental implants, but a full-arch restoration can more effectively restore a full dental arch or even a full mouth of teeth. You can hear more about the benefits of this life-changing treatment by watching the patient stories below. Our full-arch patients know better than anyone the advantages of undergoing this procedure at our office.

What Is All-on-4® Treatment Concept?

All-on-4 treatment concept is a full-arch rehabilitation system designed by Nobel Biocare™. This unique system is graftless and uses four precisely placed dental implant posts to secure a fixed prosthesis in one or both dental arches. By tilting two of the dental implants, bone grafting is unnecessary, as the angled implants will fuse to the available bone in the jaw. Nobel Biocare designs innovative implant-based dental restorations. Dr. Ioppolo is proud to offer the All-on-4 treatment concept in Lubbock, TX, to patients looking for a complete smile makeover.

Benefits of Full-Arch Restoration

Having a complete set of healthy teeth is important not only for oral function, but for self-esteem. After undergoing full-arch restoration, you can live and laugh without feeling the need to hide your teeth and feel proud about your smile. This treatment also offers many other benefits, including:

Am I a Good Candidate for All-on-4 Treatment Concept?

Many people with missing or failing teeth qualify for this type of procedure. If you are healthy enough to undergo a tooth extraction, you are most likely healthy enough to receive full-arch restoration. This procedure is completed in one surgical visit, allowing you to walk into our office with your current smile and leave the same day with a brand new, beautiful, functioning smile.

The Full-Arch Restoration Procedure

Dr. Ioppolo has undergone extensive training to be able to perform an All-on-4 treatment concept or full-arch restoration in an effective manner. Before the procedure begins, Dr. Ioppolo will answer any of your last-minute questions and then administer your chosen form of anesthesia. Most patients choose to receive IV anesthesia so they can sleep comfortably until the procedure is over. Once you are asleep, Dr. Ioppolo will strategically place as few as four dental implants into your jaw to create the secure foundation needed to support your arch of prosthetic teeth.

Once the implants are inserted, the abutments can be attached immediately, and then your temporary teeth will be placed. Over the next few months, your implants will integrate with your jaw and create a secure and permanent base for your permanent teeth. Additionally, this integration will help prevent your jaw bone from any deterioration. At the same time, your restorative dentist will be creating your permanent, custom set of teeth.

When your final denture is ready for placement and your surgical sites have fully healed, you will return to the office, and Dr. Ioppolo will secure your new set of teeth to your implants. Your final set of teeth will look just like natural teeth, and you will be able to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.
